The Montana Stroke Initiative is a collaboration
between the Montana
Department of Public Health, Cardiovascular Health Program, American
Stroke Association and physicians, nurses,
EMS personnel and hospital administrators thoughout the State.
Our mission is to develop a state-wide stroke system of care that
allows patients access to the best stroke care regardless of where
they live in Montana.
This website is intended to serve State-wide protocols
and guidelines developed for facilities throughout Montana and
Northern Wyoming that are interested in providing evidence-based,
best care practice to their stroke victims. This site will also
provide stroke education to participating physicians, primary providers,
nurses and EMS providers.
Facilities and providers will also be expected to contribute patient
data to a state-wide stroke registry. This will allow us to measure
and track protocol success and needs served. |
